Create a memorial star for a child
Parents can create a memorial page for their child and decide what remains private. A family may also request a place in the public star-filled sky. Public memorials are personally reviewed before publication.
Ways to keep a child's memory present
There is no right or wrong form of remembrance. Families may choose to:
- say and preserve their child's name,
- collect memories, letters or stories,
- mark birthdays and meaningful dates in their own way,
- create a star or another lasting memorial place,
- connect with other bereaved parents when that feels helpful.
On Skysbridge, a public memorial star can shine a little brighter on a child's birthday. On the anniversary of their death, a candle can appear as a quiet sign of remembrance.
For bereaved parents, without rankings or comparison
Grief is not a popularity contest. Skysbridge has no likes or popularity rankings around a child's memorial. The dignity of each child and the choices of each family come first.
Why Skysbridge began
Skysbridge began with my son Sky. The love for him became the beginning of a place where no child is reduced to a statistic, a date or a silence. A Sky Full of Stars preserves names and stories for the families who choose to make them visible.
